Whenever anyone asks me what kind of laptop I recommend the thinkpad laptop is always in the top 3. Lenovo is known for making great laptops and their thinkpad line is among the best. Not only are they reliable laptops, but they also have some unique things like fingerprint readers for security. They also care about the environment which is very important.
Lenovo’s current list of thinkpad laptops includes the following groups; SL Series, R Series, Thinkpad Edge, T Series, X Series Tablet, X Series and the W Series. This group of computers includes models that will fit into anybody’s budget. The starting or entry level computers run around $499 and the upper models and tablets come in around $1149. These of course are the suggested retail prices and some shopping around online will most likely find you some better deals.
They’ve done a great job of giving a large variety for every user. The Lenovo thinkpad laptops come in sizes from 11 to 17 inches and all of their models are on the lighter side. The lightest model weighs in around 2.93 pounds and the heaviest model is still under 6 pounds. That’s amazing for a 17 inch laptop.
Two of the features I was really excited to see on these laptops were the multitouch touchpad and the integrated fingerprint reader. Apple has made the multitouch touchpad very popular and it’s nice to see other companies adopting the same thing. The fingerprint reader is my favorite option however. Instead of typing in your password you just run your finger over the reader and it logs you in.
Whether you are looking for a thinkpad laptop for their innovative features, reliability, or care for the environment, they are a great choice all around. I’m definitely happy with mine. Give one a try and you’ll quickly see what I’m talking about.
