The Healthrider H70e Review

If you are looking for a good elliptical trainer, then it’s important that you buy the right one at the right price. Unfortunately, if you are a very serious athlete looking for a club-type elliptical treadmill then the Healthrider H70E elliptical is probably not the best choice for you. While a decent elliptical machine, it’s target market seems to be the more casual fitness user or maybe someone that already has a good exercise bike or treadmill in their home gym and are looking for another piece of equipment that they can use occasionally.

The H70E is not a bad elliptical, however–it’s just not fit for a heavy trainer. It does come with some decent specs:

1. Eight workout programs are included that will adjust the resistance naturally during your workout

2. Heart rate monitor on a dual grip system (fairly common now days though)

3. 18 inch stride length – not too bad

4. Rear flywheel

5. 300 lbs maximum weight use capabilities

6. 90 day warranty on the parts and the labor

As you can tell, its a fairly basic machine without all the bells and whistles. However, it’s also a fairly cheap machine, priced at only $599 in most retail stores now (as compared to the $999 MSRP). If you had to pay $999 to get this then you would be overpaying by a couple hundred dollars, but for a budget elliptical in the $600 price range this isn’t such a bad option, just you need to know it’s limits.

Looking at other customer reviews, it’s good to note that most people found the machine easy to use and good for general fitness (again it’s a beginner machine so this is what you would expect). However, they also found it to be a little wobbly and noisy under operation.

Bottom line: if you want a decent, cheaper elliptical machine then the Healthrider H70E isn’t a bad option. However, if you are willing to spend just a few hundred more dollars, then I would recommend purchasing the Healthrider H90e elliptical instead as you get much more machine at not that much more cost.
